Far Erik started with a phone call and a story. A friend wanted to brew a special Christmas ale for his dad — a man called Erik — and needed a label that felt like a proper gift, not just a sticker on a bottle. That kind of brief is rare, and I jumped at it.
I designed a label that leaned into the warmth of the season — Nordic character, rich colours, a hand-crafted feel. Every detail was chosen to make Erik smile when he unwrapped it. The illustration became the heart of the piece: a jolly figure in festive attire, mug raised, ready to toast.
It's one of those projects that reminds me why I love this work. No big brand guidelines, no committee sign-offs — just a son wanting to do something thoughtful for his father. Two weeks, one label, and a very happy Christmas.
